Wood and Stoane was founded in 2022 by Stoane Loudenslager.
A Seattle-based General Contractor, Stoane is a business owner, woodworking instructor, and construction business consultant.
Wood has always been a part of his life, where some of his earliest memories have the smell of sawdust in the background.
Throughout his 20+ year career in construction, he has had the opportunity to work on some magnificent projects. The majority of these projects focused on cabinetry, custom furniture and architectural features. From exotic wood desks for C-level Executives to Trade show booths featured at the Paris Air Show to many Homes, Offices, Hotels and Restaurants throughout the USA.
General Contracting: He has worked his way up from the production line in a cabinet shop, into custom furniture and fixtures, estimating, project management, shop management and now ownership. Through the years there have been a lot of wins and a lot of lessons!
Helping the Next Generation: Stoane has made it his Mission to help others skip avoidable hurdles. He consults with contractors on their business and teaches classes, across multiple states, around woodworking, carpentry and making money in the trades.
Community and Education: With such a massive shortage of skilled tradespeople, he’s been watching it slide further backwards as his career progresses. Stoane has decided to do something about it! He pays his crew well and leads with a belts-on, lessons forward approach. He helps other contractors do the same, and make a great living for themselves while they bring projects through completion on time and within budget, wherever possible.
Stoane has found his passion and now enjoys teaching others how to be successful in the craft and trade that has been so good to him. He considers it some of his biggest wins when he can see others have their “lightbulb” moment and learn a new skill and technique.
Teaching: You’ll find him teaching classes most nights and weekends to hobbyists and pros alike!
His mission is to uplift the craft, and trade, of woodworking into the future.
